Working hard and its the last week in Malta!

We have only a few days left in Malta! It is the ninth week here doing the internship. First four weeks we worked in Ellul wines and spirits and the past five weeks we have been in Popeye Village.

This past week (week 8 and 9) we have both been wearing the costumes that the village people wear in Popeye. It has been fun wearing those and we can change the outfit every day.

 (Welcome!)

(Last week we had a picture of Henni wearing the costume, now Krista has one too!)

This week we both have done pictures (taking them by camera and printing out from the machine), making the covers and copying the dvds of the movies filmed in Popeye (twice a day) and helped around the shop (tidying places, serving people and running errands). The last days we have been working hard and tried to make the best of the internship. Of course we have been working hard the entire internship so it is nothing new to us!

This week Krista tried to cover the time she was away from work when she was sick so she only had one day off from work. But it was ok and working has been nice at Popeye Village. Henni went to the beach on her day off. We both haven´t been taking the sun much or been at the beach so she tried to finally enjoy relaxing and get a little tanned.
On last Friday we went out with our new friends, our housemates and neighbours. It was a lot of fun and we are almost all leaving the house this week so it was our last weekend in Malta. We are going to miss them because we don’t know if we are ever going to see each other again. After all we all live in different countries! But of course never say never, right?
We also watched the Eurovision song contest with our Spanish housemates. Few of them were real true Eurovision fans so it was fun watching and discussing about it. The contest took three days, it was on Tuesday, on Thursday and on Saturday.

We only have two days left at work and Wednesday is our last workday in Malta and in Popeye Village. We are excited to come back to Finland because nine weeks (over two months) abroad is a long time to be away from your loved ones and from home. It is only four days to Friday and to flight back to home!
